Revive BF2 and 2124 have picked the game up where gs dumped it..

Multiplayer is now back, using battlelog with some other features and maps planned..

You can download the game from the website, can use your old cd or not and play on unranked servers as part of the revive.. I think you can also patch your current game if its already installed.

its still working progress at the moment mate, could always ask about the hit box in forums.. good to see it wasnt left to die

Back playing BF2 and installing 2142, if anyones up for a few rounds.... Geez a shout!!!

Since gamespy closed the easiest way to play is download and install the Revive Launcher (https://bl2142.co/downloads.php). Then install the either game using the launcher. Once it's finished installing log in to the launcher using the same credentials you use for your forum account. Can also retrieve old bf2 account via the forums, have to start from scratch with 2142.

Nah, just old age and all that, trying to talk my other half into buying a new gaming PC. She loves playing Elder Scrolls/Fallout etc. and from the sounds of our last conversation about it she's going to break before me haha.

What's your gaming PC like these days?

Although in saying that it should still be able to play those older games, I was thinking of newer stuff in my last post. I'll have a poke around when I get home and see if it's able to play them alright. Only issue could be that I think I may have played 2142 from the disk and I'm not sure where they've got too...

Your pc is still a good setup, will probably play new games no problem, maybe need a gpu if its been a while?

I picked up a cheap pc, changed a couple things, your pc still pisses on it

2.9 I7 860....
corsair xm3 8gb ddr3 1333
gigabyte p55-uda
corsiar 650w
4gb amd r7 370

you can download the full game now, includes the patch and new launcher, just need key. surprised still a few players playing 2142, it was dead for ages
